We look forward to participating in events and meetings that affect the growth and well-being of Sooke and the surrounding region.
We have participated in discussions with the District of Sooke, notably inviting the CAO and Director of Finance to address one of our recent meetings.

The Sooke Community Development Association met on Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at 6 pm (Village Food Markets lunchroom). Agenda included a discussion of the building permit at Mariner's Village.
The Sooke Community Development Association co-sponsored the All Candidates Meeting (for the federal election) with Sooke Voice News on Thurs. April 28, 2011 at Sooke Community Hall. Everyone welcome. 7:00 to 9:00 pm. Our members and the public attended. Many people submitted their questions in advance.
We held an important meeting on Dec.15, 2010. The Sooke Community Development Association met with a representative of the BC Ministry of Housing, 2 CRD reps and the District of Sooke's director of engineering at District of Sooke Council Chambers. About 50 members attended, many of whom asked questions and offered solutions.
The executive meets on the second Wednesday of each month, and as required.
Meeting time and location
We are open to suggestions about changing the meeting time and location, as not all members can attend meetings in the mid evening during the week, or at noon hour (another option).
When deemed necessary by the membership, meetings are held on the 3rd Wednesday of each month, at 5:00 pm in the upstairs meeting room at Village Food Markets, 6661 Sooke Rd.
